The price differential between ANZ and WBC has reached an extreme level.
This is partly accounted for by ANZ current Opes-related bad press. As far as the mediocre ANZ profit is concerned, a major factor is the various recessionary trends, which will hit westpac just as much as ANZ, I would expect.
I would suggest that the differential between westpac and ANZ may be peaking right now, and there it may be a good time to sell Westpac and buy ANZ.
