speaking of oil crises, Guggenheim's CIO Scott Minerd is definitely one to listen to for me on all things structural in the market. He's put his finger on this recession being of similar structural change to post WW2 in the supply and demand changes when factories lagged behind in retooling from military output to civilian item demand, but energy supply is similar to the 1970s energy crisis. The way the s and p 500 is behaving is setting up that way as well. If that is the case, we'll see continued volatility in prices in oil and gas for a number of years to come and the charts will come with a lot of entry and exit signals.
