The USA will be forced to go lead free in their electronics industry, as Europe will not accept
products with lead solder. The only exceptions
are for Telecommunications products and the Military.
This applies to all countries exporting into Europe
some of the plants in China are operating two lines
lead free and leaded, you specify lead free when ordering. The manufactures of electronic components in the USA and the rest of the world, have been producing lead free components for some time. Some factories in the USA may have already converted over, but my bet is that plenty won't until they are forced to.
What will happen to the price of Tin and the stockpile on the LME then? maybe $US35,000-$US40,000/Tonne.
