On the subject of the latter, this was mentioned in the annual report:

The Chinese goverment declared their goal to become an IOT world leader and Chinese manufacturers have started focusing on the new world of sensors and intelligent objects with the plan to supply a growing market and establish global standards that aid interoperability.

Could be a MAJOR licensing deal (or two) in the offing.
