    Just like an ICE, EVs require regular maintenance, and thus will undergo safety checks. Driving around with a full tank of combustable liquid doesn't sounds safe, yet everyone is doing it?

    Many things become more prone to failure/fire as they age, including humans as they are slower in their responses. I'm sure you'll realise now that your logic is flawed?

    Perhaps you should stop using your phone as well then. I'm sure it has a dangerous lithium battery in it...
