LOL Hopefull, agree with your sentiment, though the story does play to my own prejudices. MPL is lumped with general insurers, which have a relatively low PE, rather than with health providers, which have a relatively high PE. On that metric, if one metric is arguable, then MPL may yet get a higher rating.
Interestingly, MPL is not part of any index I can find (well, not on Commsec, which may or may not be up to date). This is understandable, given its recent debut. It does beg the question though: when it makes it onto the various indices (A&P 50, 200, and Health/Financials) will fund acquisition requirements give it a huge SP boost? When will it be admitted to the appropriate indices - come first dividend as a public company?
Am I mistaken?
