BNPL is running out of steam. People are using it less, spending less on it and actually drifting back towards more sensible fiscal behaviour. Think about the old days, when people would lay buy things in Target months out from Christmas. It isnt normal for people to buy everything on lay buy and people are realising this. Sure, some do because they have no money. Thats a great thought, most BNPL users are very low income earners and therefore more likely to be in financial difficulty. See how scary this looks?
