"AZZ is valued at $3,700/acre for its net 28,600 acres, whilst BHP recently paid $15,100/acre for Petrohawk"

Are we going to have to listen to that kind of irrelevant hype on the AZZ board for the next several months?

Petrohawk is producing just under 1 TCF of gas per day and that purchase price reflect the prduction, infrastructure, lease, land, and personnel.

You are comparing apples to oranges.

If people want to compare price per acre then maybe I can start using other companies as well as useless as those comparisons are in the market.

    AZZ and Petrohawk?

How about NSE comapred to AZZ - a better comparison:

    1. NSE has upteem times as much land as AZZ has.

    2. NSE has a potential drill amount from another oil company worth over $100 million. AZZ has to fund all their wells themselves.

    3. NSE owns a bunch of Buru shares worth $11 million - AZZ owns no shares in another company.

    4. NSE has a market cap of about $60 million. AZZ has a market cap of around $140 million

    5. NSE has about half the income last quarter compared to AZZ.

    6. NSE has no debt - AZZ has notes payable.

So whch is a better buy?
