Yes but if you treat this as a trading share you miss out if it actually proves to be a consistent growth share over 5-10 years. i would argue apt is not a trading share, it is a long term growth share. santos and bhp are trading shares each time you trade, the SP needs to retrace well over 36% (or 28% if held in a company, but remember if held in a company, you still need to pay extra tax when eventually you take the profit personally to spend!) for you to be a winner. If you do the real maths long term, you'll realise how much you have lost compared to holding with no trades. This was $2.50 2 years ago. Are you sure its dropped at least 36% every single time you sold before buying back in?
