I get where you’re coming from but your assuming you buy exact same amount of shares each time.

from when I started in apt in the low 12 range to today I would have had a 60% roi by using buy and hold. 

I’m up a little over 110% by buying and selling, then using the profit to buy more and then sell, then repeat.

I was well setup to take advantage of today, and even better setup to exit if things went bad still with a profit.
