The sales diagram at the start of this thread indicates that total of Aptamil, A2, Bellamy and S32 was around 90% of total sales for whole year. This conflicts with BAL statement about other small companies which will not get registration dumping product. Simple price war triggered by A2 is more likely.
The sharp rise of A2 started at about the same time when BAL announced additional milk supply from Fonterra. It was supposed to start during q1 2017 so it started supply earlier.
Fonterra has a history of cases where contaminated milk was supplied to China.
Maybe some people question whether they will be able trust BAL milk.
