This is by no means an accusation as I have no idea - but is it possible the majority owner in this stock is lending out his stock to potential short sellers, taking the yield knowing that he stills owns a good asset in the months ahead and that there is every likelihood he will get the valuation back next year.
Doesn't have to be the majority shareholder, could be the the large purchasers in the recent cap raising chasing yield on their holding and it is getting sold short in the meantime.
Bundle all the small holders out who get frightened and pick up the stock cheap.
