I believe that they are both mopping up any supply that comes in and the BOT is being used to make it look like selling is happening.
I think as soon as one takes the brake off and starts paying higher prices the other will have to follow or be caught out short.
There is usually not much demand on Christmas Eve, so today is an opportunity for them to teast down without a lot of effort.
The same would usually apply for the few trading days leading into the new year. So we will probably have another few days of sideways movement. Unless Gus pulls a surprise announcement. Stranger things have happenned!!
