what I also think is interesting is... in the phase one test results there is quite a difference in yield when catalyst 1 and 2 are combined. reported at 9%. But might have been expected to report 27% i.e. 50/50 is (F2 + B1)/2 = 27.
so it seems quite a variation for different catalysts and/or combinations. They are testing several more catalysts so who knows where the solids to hydrocarbon yield can end up. But low 20s seems the base already.
Phase one was also done <350*c and they said subsequent tests are being done at 400-450*c. So again, could see a big difference/improvement in phase two.
They also said the focus will be on solids loss and quality of hydrocarbon. I have no guide for how much solids loss can be affected but assuming 45-55% is a good guide (haven't seen any comment from the company on this) here hoping the quality of heavy oil produced put its bitumen yield closer to 55%
