Ive had then for maybe 5 years or so, red/purple flesh has flowered twice and given me 2 fruit. The white one produced 8 flowers last year but no fruit, it has a flower on it now that should open any day now. My sister was not a fan of dragon fruit saying the look nice but didn't have much taste, I was surprise because the first Dragon fruit (Red one) I grew tasted amazing. So I got the second red dragon fruit I gave her a taste, well she was blown away. I don't know but maybe the white one don't have much taste

A deficiency in that will stop fruit developing and it sweetens them.
