Cleopatra, I don't watch a movie because someone is a stunner. That sort of exercise turns a movie into a porn show. Not into them! I've always been embarrassed about the publicity the Austen books and poems have received in place of so much other genuine Lit. The ABC has made a complete series of the Shakespeare plays a couple of decades ago and they've made a dreadful mess of them also. The Poms have less respect for their own Lit than the rest of the world has. Pinter is well worthy of his Nobel. But Austen is shallow, vacuous but easy to turn into long, lingering shots of "beautiful" people with sparkling retinas and well-chiselled noses! Nothing more, bro!
