Simplicitus something you need to understand when having discussions with Jehovah Witness it isnt like for like with respect to normal Christian interdialogue. Christianity is similar to Islam in that both believe in the concept of one God.
The dispute between Christianity and Islam relates to the nature of who God is but both are monadic faiths.
This is not so with Jehovah Witnesses as they do not share the same belief in a single Monadic God.
Islam claims that there is only one God and Allah is his name. Christianity makes the same claim that there is only one God and all others are created by man..eg Molech etc.
The Jehovah Witness are not a monadic faith something that continually puzzle Mr Gordon I think he was flabbergasted when the head of the National Church in Denmark denounced Jehovah Witnesses as not Christian.
Well he is correct for all our Christian denominations one of the key tenets is faith in a single Monadic God which is mimmicked in Islam via Allah.
Jehovah Witnesses are a different religion with respects to the nature of Go, they have different catagories of Gods, for instance
1 YHWH or Jehovah (pardon the 15th century use of the letter J in Gods name)
He is the only "God' worthy of worship he is classified as Almight God (the capital G denotes the creator)
2 JW's then have lesser gods (denoted in their books by a little g)
Jesus is a lesser 'god' he carries the title mighty god not Almights.
3 4 etc Then the Jehovah Witnessess have lesser Gods in angels and men.
So are Jehovah Witnesses polytheists you may ask. Well no not now but for the first 80 years they were when they worshipped Jesus as well. This they belated realize with their doctrine was a major error of idolatory and had to strip all references of worship of Jesus out of their holy book and publications. So today they are not but prior they did worship more than one.
So the jehovah witnesses religion is one called Henotheism, hence why every Christian theologian denounces the claim they are even a Christian cult.
henotheism means you worship or show devotion to a single God but it does not deny the presence of other Gods. i have already explained about God Almighty as Jehovah and Jesus as just mighty god.
Hence why it was essential for the Jehovah Witnesses to corrupt the verse in the Christian Bible John 1:1 from the word was God to the New World Translation book the word was a god. (little g)
So the Henotheist is happy to accept that the God Christians call the the one true God as accurate because they believe in this system of subordinate 'gods' with jehovah being the Almighty God.
