Different translations, different meanings. NWT (2 Corinthians 4:4) among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through. the god of the system of things vs the god of this age. The NWT talks about the god of this system of things and the NIV the god of this age - this age would reasonably be said to be the age in which the material was written. This system would reasonably refer to a system in place at the time that the material was written.
the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through vs the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. The glory of the "good news about Christ" instead of the "glory of Christ".
