The sexual abuse scandal has had some impact but any objective look at the issue, unlikee a glib newspaper article, would show that sexual abuse has no connection with being married or not. It is almost exclusively married men who do it.
What really puzzles me is that no one seems interested in asking the other Catholics who are not of the Roman Rite and who allow married priests, what is their experience with married priests.
