Prime Minister’s sister thinks Bill Shorten's marriage equality bill could do more harm than good
Labor will put its marriage equality bill before parliament tomorrow but not everyone is sure the bill is a positive move without the support of the Liberal party.
Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s sister Christine Forster believes the bill could do more harm than good if it gets pushed too early and without the support of more parties.
"Nobody wants to see this become a political football," she told Weekend Today.
"It's something that is very important to millions of Australians."
