The ridiculousness of whether our country's Laws should be changed to allow two boys to "marry" each other already has become a political football already...regardless of what Tony Abbott's sister believes.
If this thing does get traction and our Parliament is forced to change our country's laws and allow homosexuals or lesbians to "marry" each other there should be a stipulation that the gay version has "gay" attached to it...ie "Gay-Marriage". This will allow the general community to know that the "marriage" is in fact between two males or two females.
They should also not allow a bloke to refer to his partner as his "wife", let them find some other term, similarly a woman should not be able to refer to her partner as her "husband". That is just plain weird and misleading...
Can you imagine it? Maybe I am old fashioned, but I just cannot visualise seeing some bloke in a ball gown at a serious fund raiser because some dude wanted to bring his "wife" along...
