A report on the ABC today talks about the shortage of gas in NSW, and the additional cost that an abattoir owner claims he will be up for- $100k/month extra. Mention also of those who won't be able to turn their gas heaters on in winter due the rising cost of gas primarily because of the looming shortage. MEL had the answer- the Kingfisher conventional well- touted as the biggest gas find in NSW in over a century. When will these politicians admit that they were wrong and hand the licences back to MEL? Probably never as politicians are a bit like umpires- can never admit that they might have made the wrong decision!!
