NGE- This oil and gas junior resembles one of those stocks which is remarkable in so many respects that even though I am currently in the red on nge I have rarely been so optimistic on an imminent turnaround to occur on a stock like i am on nge -

The acrerage which is currently held by nge is prime for international interestes. Its not everyday that such a junior is able to rub shoulders with the big boys, but nge surely seems more than capable to emerge itself into a mid cap oiler with positive results from imminent drilling-

What i love about nge is the fact that even with some 800m shares on issue, nge rarely seems to get a mention on hot copper's most discussed stocks. Remarkable is that nge is one of those stocks that seems to have been flying under the radar from many investors and day traders for some time but rest assured that should good drilling results and major jv negotiations be released to market, long term nge holders will be overwhelmed at the amount of attention she will receive both on hot copper but also with high volume trading days to follow from investors not wanting to miss the boat-

The current shareprice of nge is phenominally low for the prime exploration ground it holds in png ( a proven petroleum system with 1 bbls oil and 15 tcf gas proven- not to mention major infrastuture already in place to take proven reserves to market low cost)- however the positive is that should talisman energy be willing to spend US$11 million on seismic and up to US$90 million for up to six wells over the next few years for exposure to our 13 million acres onshore Papua New Guinea, that definantly gives me confidence in the business plan of nge on the down days of late -

The oil and gas sector has always been an area of over exposure in my portfolio's due to the fundamentals that remain that the developed and fast developing nations are hungrier than ever for energy. Current travels through asia has highlighted that fact to me even more seeing the amount of major infrastuture projects developing in nations such as Malaysia and Vietnam which will house an increasing population requiring energy. Another phenominal point of observation is the amount of vehicles in nations such as Malaysia, Singapore and even now in Vietnam. Its incredible that with large oil and gas deposit finds becoming more rare than say 20 years ago, the question remains- where will these developing nations source energy needs to fuel this major requirement ?

Call this un-neccesary speculation if you may- but In my opinion don't be surprised at all should nge release to market in the not to distant future an acquisition announcement of a producing oil/gas asset. The board obviosuly are more than aware that the shareprice has come under some considerable downward pressure from previous poor drilling results. By acquiring a producing asset, nge would then be able to use that very cash flow for further dilling and exploration activities because with some 52,000 sq km - major funding will be required - don't believe me? go to the fact sheet released to market today and as clear as day they state that they are searching for more production and exploration acerage - definantly could be the much needed help nge needs to make investors step back and take notice of this junior oiler
