Prime suspect
A large swag of shares in nickel miner Western Areas changed hands at $3 each yesterday. The line of 3.7 million shares worth $11.1 million was so big that it could have only been sold by its chairman, Terry Streeter, or its second-largest shareholder, Giovanni Santalucia.
Sources ruled out sales by Streeter, leaving Santalucia - who sold $9.4 million last week - as the prime suspect.
