bruce.... you may well be right. But i feel we will see a crescendo of base metal mine closures. As people are saying openly. Why sell a potentially valuable product (base metal) at a loss? Wouldn't surprise me to see some TO coming from China for unprofitable aussie mines that have good resources/infrastructure but unable to keep going.
Over 2 million WSA shares sold today. SP is down only a little despite Ni falling overnight. Remember, for every share sold there is someone who thinks it is worth buying. Someone trying to sell 2M shares in MRE would halve the price in an hour. Mkt is dicriminating between mines based on their underlying viability.
