Depends on how you are investing. If you are trading then those sort of charts are your life blood. If you are long then your financial, operational, management analysis is key.

I don’t see the gain in holding long on a spec stock once the market cap/SP has moved to the full value or beyond the future earnings expectated 12 months down the track. If the sp is already fully reflecting the future earnings it’s time to get off. The company has every opportunity to screw it up and you have already made your money. BIG is a great example of that. If you got into it them a year ago when they were talking it up then great. But waiting around to see if they actually get their future earnings is another thing.

ISX had that moment a few years ago. Then a couple of small delays in integration and push back on regulatory deadlines took the wind out of that. Hence SP back down there at 14c from 50.

But here is the thing. Right now you can buy ISX at mark down from that speculative high of 50c and the revenues are not only in guidance but are generating. 30% QoQ growth forecast and quarter has had market update guidance correcting to 50% or more. Operational costs growing around 10%. Where do you think the SP is going to go with that?

Forecast QoQ growth makes this long.
