Everybody has a different process when choosing what to invest in. Once invested, cognitive bias tends to be a strong determinant of sentiment. Professional investors develop models and filters in an attempt to minimise cognitive bias. I suspect that HC is not overly populated by Fund Managers and Hecge Fund Guru’s. So, I guess you pay your money and you make your choice. Personally I have something of a hybrid model that seems to work. But, it is also worth remembering that 50% of investors are below average….
