"PRINCE Andrew is being asked to help Kazakhstan get rid of its dodgy reputation as a nation of Borats.

Former government minister Kairat Kelimbetov said "stereotypes" were damaging the oil and gas rich central Asian state's business name, The Sun reported.

"Europeans view Kazakhstan as a risky place to invest," he said.

He suggested the prince, who visited the country last week in his role as UK trade ambassador, could help improve its image.

"Prince Andrew expressed his readiness to help organise meetings with business circles in Britain," Mr Kelimbetov said.
