He wasn't a fake, like most public figures. Great sense of humour, but probbaly should have bitten his tongue on occasion.
Was just reading about his lifetime achievements. 22000 public appearances, wrote all his own speeches, served in WW2, worked into his 90s. Then at age 99, walked unassisted out of hospital after an operation. Way to go out. Amazing.
