some people have selective sympathy
dont think our jewish cousins will ever be forgetting the holocaust,actually a term that should also include others who were eliminated by the nazis but has come to be known almost exclusively as a jewish holocaust, and for good reason.
aboriginals were hunted and exterminated like dogs, massacred across the countryside, had their families ripped apart by institutions, had their remains sent back to mother england for scientific study of this 'sub human' species (and where some remains are still to this day kept there- an absolutely unbelievable situation), were considered part of the flora and fauna of this country until the 60ies and didnt get to vote til much the same time (1967?).....thats within 50 years ago....they didnt have a vote in their won country !!....get it?
still committing suicides coz they were separated from their families as children into the 70ies....thats within 40 years ago!....get it?...and we have simpletons here referring to the viking hordes then needing to apologise also.....for events of 2000 plus years ago.....

i think common sense would suggest that we do owe alot to aboriginals of this country for the destitute situation they find themselves in...a national shame of mammoth proportions. saying w throw billions of $ at them is hardly reason to exempt ourselves from the collective shame.
we ship em out and dust them off for an olympics and we laud themn if they can kick a footy well,,,but we dont give a rats otherwise.
the longest surviving culture on the planet, the most socially and spiritually sophisticate dulture on the planet, who never harmed a fly...and we still have nutters running around who reckon they deserve nothing more.....wow, havent we come along way from the original poms who called and treated these proud people as animals.
