The UN and their members are required to provide financial support to nation's less fortunate. It's more complicated than what can be written within a few paragraphs.
Multiculturalism is designed to ensure the world avoids another bloody conflict on a massive scale. Individuals will always argue that it's failed, however, on a percentage scale multiculturalism has benefited the hosts and it's guests.
One must look not from the physical side ie "dollar terms", but from the greater good in helping the disadvantaged... Will admit Australia has some unique issues like illegal boat entrants, but that can be debated...was it the boat people or the prime ministers policy that encouraged more arrivals, for example?... That red head caused more trouble than most...! She has blood on her hands, regarding stopping live cattle export's! (If ya don't know why, she bankrupted many businesses over night with a knee jerk reaction!)
