(Sorry, my internet connection crashed)
Anyway, the design was all done by the Norwegian Co Kvaerner Engineering, who also supervised the topside modules put together structure wise by United Construction in Kwinana, WA. I was working in senior management capacities both at the FPSO fit out at Sembawang shipyard in Singapore and for awhile at the Kvaerner design office in Perth. The resserved were estimated at 200 mbo, and the CAPEX was abt 1.4 b$, The FPSO was designed for 60 years, while topsides equipment only for 20 years. The field started production in 1999 and is pretty much depleted by now. So what is Woodside's plan for that great FPSO they've got sitting there with not much left to do? Well, how about grabbing 35% out of that SNE business in Senegal for a song, and then lease out our fabulous FPSO to the suckers of the JV? Hey, we become operators (charge out everybody and his dog at 100% mark up, and that mothballed Northern Endeavour as well, winn, winn guys!) Anyway, that's how I see it.
