the last time that watso paid for health cover, would have been a few decades ago . the few times that watso and his family used the health system, and there was some surcharge (over and above the medicare levy) - watso simply paid the extra.

on the lifestyle forum, watso has posted about his recent treatment in relation to a skin cancer - and all totally free.

one thing for sure, is that watso is not a drain on the health care system, and does not see a doctor, until he is on deaths door .

for what it is worth, but watso would be in favour of a nationalized health system ... mmm and a $7 co-payment should be mandatory .

medical centres are nothing more than businesses - with budgets, profit targets etc etc. just ask Geoffrey Edelsten, how the system could be milked .. each patient becomes nothing more than a profit centre . watso feels guilty turning up to have his wound dressing changed - watso could do it himself... the doctor has a quick look - and obviously charges medicare ... lol - but then again, it did cross watso's mind that he, himself , could have excised the cancer with some box cutter knives for a couple of dollars from red dot - and a bottle of scotch to dull the pain

Too right watso....Workmate used to excise his own skin cancers.....and he's still kicking 20 years later.....National Health - the one and only way to go. Anything else is our surrender monkeys - bending over - for American corporates.
