Private health premiums set to rise

Apparently a near 5% price hike has been approved by the govt
for private health insurance.

Frankly I am sick of this. Those with private cover including
myself tend to get hit with ever increasing out of pocket expenses
in spite of rising premiums.

Its disgraceful and more will leave the system.

I know a pensioner who will now be paying about
$100 a fortnight for cover and this is a terrible impost
for this person.

Inflation is far lower than than the increase yet fees and charges rise
more without fail.

Unbelievable we are being bled dry and yet the funds spend fortunes on advertising and
engaging in non core health insurance business.
