I believe Chakwera has done a commendable job in his time in office and this PDU initiative - although GBE well past such needs - is a going to be of very large benefit to Malawi and all stakeholders.
No one can stamp out a lifetime of corruption in an Nation in short time. He made changes to his ministers a while back which was applauded by NGO'S and the like - removed corrupt and under performing persons and has engaged a lot of women in Gov and positions of high regard.
Then you look at:
Covid/Health.
Food security.
Fuel security.
Electricity increases (the recent Thyolo Dam lost 130gw however his travels that have been criticized has yielded much including quick funds to restore Thyolo Dam Hydro and make it better and less prone to another incident - neighboring country interconnectors - carbon free power alternatives all arriving or have).
Albino situation.
No protests and unrest (or very minimal which is paramount given the economic environment facing Malawians through difficult global times - they certainly are no Sri Lanka).
Roads, Rail - Bridges infrastructure.
Various developments in industry (yes it is taking time but green shoots are there).
All big ticks in my view and global donors will continue to support the Chakwera Gov in various development funding as he is getting results in a very difficult environment. He is likely to become Malawi's greatest ever leader. His message was very clear on the weekend - Malawi is so behind manufacturing or producing anything of high value - he was adamant this must change.
GLTAH. The pending MDA is just the beginning of a lot of key details to be released by GBE.
