Why not push the use of #greenhydrogen in #France? President Emmanuel Macron replies "France has been one of the first countries to promote the use of green #hydrogen in 2018 with its #HydrogenStrategy, whose objective is to make France one of the leaders in decarbonized hydrogen. What really matters in hydrogen production is the energy source employed. We need to produce hydrogen with decarbonized electricity, so our strategy is simple: ➡ use more #renewables, ➡ more nuclear to have low-carbon electricity➡ make the #electrolyze process in France to produce green hydrogen. A few data: France invested 9 billion euros and the announced hydrogen strategy will enable us, between now and 2030, to cut carbon emissions by 6,5 million tons per year in 2030, which is the equivalent of all the air transport in France.So, in a few years, we are going to have concrete reductions and, in 2050, the reduction will be massive and a profound change in our lifestyle. So, hydrogen is a true lever in our strategy."
