My recollection of the announcement at the time was that it was vague (at best) with respect to the reasons that they stopped drilling. That lack of clarity added to the fear and doubt, and resulted in the SP being hit harder than it otherwise might have. Would it really have hurt them to clearly outline the reasons for the change of plan?

That gripe aside, their confidence remains intact. I find this somewhat reassuring. Or it could be that I am just gullible.... I hold.
