If it is good news and the shorts got caught with their pants down im sure the broker will be able to break even by covering and going long before any real damage is done.
The trades that went through under 13.5c that may have been short positions were not that big.
I did see those cross trades that may have been someones lent shares going short.
Someone wasnt doing their job at the broker's office re having their ear to the ground and depending on the the announcement there maybe an unemployed researcher/broker by next week.
