Tcisboss, you are quite right, often we have done too much to a stock with great potentials and tried to pick the tops and troughs. But more often we end up with small profits on a great stock and then watching the share price going up and up and missed the big and long run.
Hard to know when the good news comes out, with THO, we've been waiting for the dfs for two weeks. Once it comes out (could be any time form now on), the share price should jump up within seconds/minutes. If we are not holding enough, then we could be missing the great profit potentials. Not easy to find one warmed up stock with such good potentials.
Some traders are taking profits here and then buy it back later when it moves higher (or buy back when it retraces if they have good believes in the stock). That way the everage cost bases would be higher and higher, it is good for the steady rise of the share prices though.
