Yeah I've posted similar things to you in this forum, so I agree with your concerns.
In regards to the share price, however, at some stage it will be supported by the dividend stream. As long as the banks can hold their dividend (or cut minimally) it should support the share price.
That being said I am protecting the downside using appropriate trading techniques. Up or down markets are not a concern to me, as I can make money either way, I just need to go with the market direction.
