Switch boxes and it could be argued that you are swapping a one in three chance for a two in three chance.
The thing I can't come to grips with is that if you have a one in three chance at the outset, how the heck can the probability change to one in two just because someone shows you one empty box (which you would have known at the start!!!!!).
