The problem with BPMIGAS is, I think, that they don't believe the reserve estimates and will only believe it if they or another Indonesian co. do the siesmic, drilling, and resultant calculations. However BPMIGAS has already used up their budget for exploration this year and will not approve this work as an expense against revenue from Senkang. Hence all siesmic and drilling will have to come out of EWC,s pocket. Stewart is holding firm, adamant that there are enough reserves there already. That I think is what is going on. My opinion is that why don't we simply go out there and drill out of our own pocket.
You've got to play by their rules, as Muslims believe we Westerners are infidels and lower than dirt, not believing in Allah.
Let's just accept the difficulties dealing in Indonesia, pay the bribes, do the drilling and move on.
