Nicky...if you switch to another loan its not a repayment...therefore that break fee is not applicable...but a switching fee is...
here is the link for commbank now....maybe you were given the wrong advice about the 5000....
am assuming you are only interested in getting the lower rate rather than paying ou the loan and going elsewhere
