I have had the "call"and said "Like I would trust a voice on the phone about my computer."
I have also heard of someone doing whatever they wanted and then her computer was tampered with...I am not sure how... and then they rang and said it would cost her $600 to fix it.
I have only heard this second hand but it sounds feasible to me.
