Gallea - I think you will find the global Burrette market is controlled by major suppliers who get hospitals to sign up to 5 years contracts to supply expensive pumps for each bed that force the IV fluids and medication via there no thrill and obviously less safer and more time consuming to operate burretts's. Its not easy to break into such markets easily they are in some Aus training hospitals and NSW ambulances I think.
They are trying to push into the second/developing world as the major players are not there so no major barriers to entry and as there burrette takes place of 50-60% of the need for these pumps they are practical and able to make more inroads - remember you just cant turn up and sell medical products they have to pass testing in each country etc...
