18 months ago I revised my investment strategy to reduce all geopolitical risk as much as humanly possible even if it meant opting out of some juice choices.

For mining I invest in Australian companies with mines only in Australia, Europe, Canada, USA. In reality it has turned out to be companies only with Australian mines, low borrowings and proved ore reserves.

Thus it is I am now left with IGR and CCU and as more speculative svl and ayn and bkp oil. Physical Silver and gold bullion, Perth Mint gold on the ASX and everything else cash and property.

Africa and South American ventures I see as geopolitically too uncertain in a world where global financial crisis two strikes. And companies with too large borrowings could come under pressure in a different credit environment.

I cannot see companies with proven economic reserves as being losers in the medium term, and more likely to weather financial, currency crisis. Silver has brilliant fundamentals medium term as a monetary and critical industrial metal; gold also has brilliant fundamentals as a monetary and wealth preservation metal, and we now see central banks buying it in quanity along with everybody else.

The cash price of these metals is and has been and continues to be artificially squashed by the selling of unbacked paper metals. To the tune of 100/1 for silver. Said manipulation whistleblower Andrew McGuire almost lost his life disclosing JPM manipulation red handed.

But all that is happening now is balloons are being blown larger, the larger the bigger the bang when it comes.

Is why I see IGR at current prices as a good buy for the medium to long term.
