Process for Colostat to be included in MBS (Medicare)

I've been investigating the process for new medical services to be included into the MBS (Medicare). Should Colostat be included, then it would be free for Australians. A GP would simply tick the 'Colorectal Cancer Screen' box on a pathology blood test panel for eligible patients without the patient needing to agree to any out-of-pocket costs.

The MBS inclusion process appears to be relatively straightforward. The Medical Services Advisory Committee recommends new procedures to the Minister for Health and Ageing to approve. For example, Peter Dutton was the Minister for Health in 2016 when the age range and frequency of the poo test was increased to biannual for over 50-year-olds. Obviously, politicians do like to accumulate positive achievements like this!

Of course, Colostat must first achieve TGA approval... to be announced anytime between now and mid-May 2023.
