Fact of the matter is that the whole supply chain in OZ is way more expensive because we deal with layer upon layer of red tape that other countries do not bother with, not to mention overinflated salaries. So the plant will cost multiples of what it will cost elsewhere. The cost of having the processing of REE's for security purposes is the premium that Government need to commit to or it will not happen. Perhaps "friendly governments will contribute ( hello aukus?)
End of the day, one plant, built by Hastings should take all the ore from every economical find in the Gascoyne. That takes competing explorers to get around the table and agree. Some will believe they can make more $'s by sending ore overseas. At some point though, are we as a nation really that committed to having processing onshore or are we just a talkfest with no balls.
