Fact of the matter is that the whole supply chain in OZ is way more expensive because we deal with layer upon layer of red tape that other countries do not bother with, not to mention overinflated salaries. So the plant will cost multiples of what it will cost elsewhere. The cost of having the processing of REE's for security purposes is the premium that Government need to commit to or it will not happen. Perhaps "friendly governments will contribute ( hello aukus?)

That's all OK but unfortunately there are other players such as Iluka already promoting plant build and third party processing..
