Battery makers won't be buying it because they can't sell it to Tesla, Toyota, or any other company hoping to promote EVs as an environmentally sustainable product.
When NIC announced it, my first impulse was to sell. It is idiocy. China pushed the concept to panic the nickel market and interfere with foreign nickel developments. It is extraordinarily energy intensive. The fact NIC pushed it reflects poorly on management.
